2005 Goldfish Paradise Online Show

Goldfish Paradise is pleased to announce the 2005 Goldfish Paradise Online Show which will consist of a qualifier (winners selected by GP members) and a Finals (winners selected by a panel of judges). There will be a total of 8 categories, with a "Best of Show Award" and a "Here for the Beer" award.

Five qualifying entries from each of the categories will qualify for the Finals. These qualifiers will be determined based on votes cast by Goldfish Paradise members.

At the Finals a judging panel will determine the following champions from amongst the qualifiers:

  • 2005 Single-Tail Champion
  • 2005 Ranchu/Lionhead Champion
  • 2005 Fantail/Ryukin Champion
  • 2005 Oranda Champion
  • 2005 Other Goldfish Varieties Champion
  • 2005 Pond Award
  • 2005 Non-Planted Aquascaping Award
  • 2005 Planted Aquascaping Award
  • 2005 Here for the Beer Award
  • 2005 Grand Champion/Best of Show

Entry Fee: There is no entry fee for the Online Show. Yes, it's totally FREE!
Prizes: Winners will be immortally enshrined within the Goldfish Paradise community. Grand Champion will be featured on the banner of the Goldfish Paradise site/community for the duration of the 2006 year.

How To Enter: To enter your goldfish and/or aquarium for the 2005 Goldfish Paradise Show, please forward the following to contest@goldfishparadise.com:

  • Your member name (username)
  • Name of Goldfish (not required for aquascaping/pond category... needless to say)
  • Pictures of entry - Please limit your pictures to a maximum of 6 of each fish or aquarium. It is advisable to include as many view angles of your goldfish/aquarium as possible.
  • Age of goldfish/Age of aquarium (how long has it been running?)
  • Size of goldfish (body only)/volume of aquarium (gallons/liters)

Mail-in Entries: If you are unable to submit digital pictures via email, you can mail-in photographs. Email us at webmaster@goldfishparadise.com for the mailing address.
Your photographs will be scanned and added to the photo voting booths along with all the other entries. Please note that mail-in entries must be RECEIVED ONE WEEK BEFORE the deadline date (to allow for processing time).
