While it is goal of Goldfish Paradise to be an open and friendly forum for people to share ideas and experiences to "heighten the awareness and consciousness of goldfish care", there are a few rules that we must abide by to maintain the peace, if you will. Most of these rules are common sense and seems moot to mention... but it seems that common sense is not so common this day and age, especially online.

Goldfish Paradise Terms of Use

1. Language: Foul language and obscenities are prohibited. These forums are intended for goldfish enthusiasts of all ages, so please bear that in mind when posting.



2. Discrimination: Racial, religious, sexual, and other forms of discrimination are strictly prohibited and will be dealt with in a very serious manner.



3. Harassment: Threats, personal attacks, or other forms of verbal harassment is strictly prohibited. This includes flaming other members in public. If one has issues with a member, please discuss the issues via private messages. If it can not be resolved, please bring it to the attention of a moderator or administrator.



4. Privacy: Goldfish Paradise maintains the confidentiality of members' personal information. Using these boards to collect email addresses will be dealt with in a serious manner. Should you receive unsolicited email and feel that it may have originated from your email being collected from this forum, please inform us at webmaster@goldfishparadise.com.



5. New Posts: When posting questions, browse threads or use the "search" function to see if your question has been recently answered. If it is a common question, you will find a quick answer/remedy and it will save the community from answering the "same old question" over and over. Please also post threads in the appropriate forum section, if it doesn't fit nicely into a section...then use the "General" section.



6. Hijacking Posts: Please respect other members' posts and refrain from straying too much from the topic of the post. If need be, start a new post for the new subject.



7. Spam Posts: Please refrain from one word posts or posts that add no value to the thread (value being adding to the discussion or adding humour). Some members are on dial-up connections and downloading these pages can take some time. Please respect their time and not post such responses as "Thank you", "I agree", "Cool", "Uh-huh". Thanking people for their responses can be done via private messages, this way you can express your gratitude to them directly.



8. Avatars/Images/Signatures: Avatars/Images/Signatures of a sexually graphic, obscene, and/or offensive nature is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension of account privileges. Questionable content will be reviewed by the administrators and moderator team to determine (based on their best judgement) its appropriateness for this site.



9. Copyrights: Please do not post copyrighted content or images unless you are the owner of the copyright or have written permission to do so. You may however link to other resources or take a small quote from resources if proper credit is given.



10. Goldfish Paradise provides interactive areas in which users may post communications. You alone are responsible for the content of your communications, and the consequences of any such communications. By submitting content, which shall include your member name, to any area of the Goldfish Paradise community (including message boards and chat rooms) you grant Goldfish Paradise a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display the content (in whole or in part) in other works in any form, media, or technology.
